Deadlines

I’m in a keke Napep on my way to work, on a Monday morning, after a busy weekend. I just finished designing and submitting a flier for a Monday motivation content I was due by 7 a.m that morning, and i feel pretty much like God did when he was done creating the world, I smile at the beauty of what I had put together.

Deadlines, according to Misterjacque, (2019) refer to a time before which a task, activity or endeavour should have been completed, or a stipulated time after which a task, activity or endeavour shouldn’t be completed, finished, submitted, executed.

They are lines after which certain pursuits should be concluded, rounded up, terminated, or should I rather say, Dead. So we can concentrate on other pursuits or tasks, both those that are an offshoot of the previous and those that aren’t.

They are the reasons we do anything in the first place, or at least the first reasons. Until we can trust ourselves to get things done as fast as we can, deadlines would give us the discipline to ensure that we don’t take too long, and we don’t lose momentum stretching things that could have been done in shorter times to longer time frames.

A deadline, asides being the subject of this write up is the reason it’s no longer just an entry on my phone’s notepad and now a published blogpost. There was a deadline to it, I fixed one.

You’ve planned for too long, I think you need to put some deadlines to it, without deadlines plans are just wishes.
Even salvation has a deadline, as a man can only accept the free gift of our saviour during his lifetime; after which he is stuck with the consequence of his acceptance or rejection of Gods offer.

Deadlines should be set, and worked with and not dreaded.
