Dear men,
Don’t worry, it doesn’t really solve anything.
Worrying is something every one of us finds ourselves doing, and with valid reason — the speed of bad news, rising expectations, and uncertain outcomes. There is always something demanding attention, stretching capacity, and testing resolve: rising cost of living, unpredictable business conditions, security concerns, and shifting government policies. Your worry may feel justified and, in many ways, understandable. But at its core, worry is simply the mind meditating on an uncertain or negative outcome.
Worry is a signal, not a solution.
It is fear in a future tense. Worry is a signal, not a solution — it shows something matters, but not what to do next. You don’t have to pretend you’re unaffected, carry everything alone, or have all the answers. What actually moves you forward is awareness — of what you can do today, what is within your control, what you can influence, your abilities, and how far you can push them.
Awareness over anxiety.
Awareness that you are human, not a machine. Most importantly, awareness that you are God’s child, and there is no limit to what He can do for and through you.
Don’t let it make a nest.
There’s little we can do about worry tapping you on the shoulder every now and then, but don’t let it make a nest, take the wheel, or call the shots. Left unchecked, it leads to panic — and often decisions you later regret.
Strategise like you have a formidable enemy.
Strategise like you have a formidable enemy that knows your address, and execute like you, your plans and all you have are safe in God’s hands and even Satan’s best strategy would play out in your best interest.
I fulfilled last week’s promise to write to you. Promise me you’ll read and share to 5 people who need this.
